Privacy Policy

The Global Co-Mission, Inc. (“GCOM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida nonprofit recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit gcom.world, donate, subscribe, communicate with us, or participate in our programs.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide, including your name, email, mailing address, phone number, donation details, preferences, inquiries, event registrations, and consent records. Payment providers process card data; GCOM does not store full card numbers.

Website technologies may collect IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, referral information, dates, and times. Subject to consent and configuration, this can include Google Analytics, Google tags, Meta Pixel, cookies, and similar technologies.

How we use information

  • Provide requested services, updates, events, campaign news, and stories
  • Process donations and issue acknowledgments or tax receipts
  • Communicate through channels you selected
  • Improve the website and measure outreach effectiveness
  • Prevent fraud and meet legal obligations

How information is shared

We do not rent or trade email or mailing lists and do not sell personal information for money. We may share limited data with service providers that operate fundraising, payments, email, messaging, hosting, analytics, and related services; with authorities when legally required; or with a successor organization following an organizational transaction.

Donor identities are not disclosed publicly without consent, except where disclosure is legally required.

Mobile and direct messaging

Text-message opt-in data, consent records, and phone numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Delivery providers may process this information solely to transmit requested messages. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Messaging programs are limited to people age 18 and older.

When you opt in to WhatsApp or social-platform messages, those platforms also process communications under their own privacy terms. GCOM does not move your information between messaging platforms without consent and does not use phone numbers or message opt-in data to build advertising audiences.

Advertising and analytics

We may use Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and similar platforms to measure campaigns and reach interested audiences. Website activity and hashed email addresses may be used for permitted audience and measurement functions. Phone numbers and messaging consent data are excluded. Contact us to request an advertising-data opt-out.

Your choices and rights

You may unsubscribe from email, reply STOP to texts or direct messages, block an account, or contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or a cross-channel communication opt-out. Some records may be retained to meet legal duties and preserve suppression preferences.

Retention

  • Donation and financial records: generally at least seven years
  • Consent and opt-out records: generally at least four years after the relationship ends
  • Marketing data: until opt-out, plus a limited suppression period
  • Analytics data: according to provider settings

International users

GCOM is based in the United States, where information is stored and processed. People in other countries may have rights under local law, including Brazil’s LGPD, Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023, and EU or UK GDPR. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.

Security and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure. The website is not directed to children under 13, and messaging programs are restricted to adults 18 and older.

Cookies and third-party links

Cookies may support functionality, analytics, performance, and advertising. Browser settings can manage cookies, though disabling them may affect the site. External websites have their own privacy practices.
